I read your blog weekly and wanted to know how precious Molly is doing? There hasn't been a posting since May 11 and I can understand as you are taking care of your amazing little ones. I just want to know how to pray for Molly. All prayers are great but remember, "By JESUS stripes, Molly is healed!" I believe it!

Your children are precious, Courntness and Molly, your niece is also precious.

Courtnee: I just responded to the the comment section and apologize for spelling your name wrong, from work, to home life, to going to school (online classes), I tend to make mistakes. Sorry and what a great family you have.

I just got contacted by a producer that is doing a show on multiples. They asked me for a discription on my family and I gave them a day in the life of the stevenson's. Happy reading and don't forget to read my mom's blogs below they will put a smile on your face.

Our family is as fast paced as you could imagine. Mike is an electrician and works close to home. I teach aerobics 2-3 days a week and go to college, however my full time job is kids. The day begins for me at 6:30 a.m. I pack 6 lunches and get the kids up one by one. As I pull them from bed I marvel at their sweetness! Ten minutes later I want to go back to bed. One child is yelling "I want cheerios!" Another kid yells " I want  Kix!"  Out of the corner of my eye I see a large bowl of milk fly across the counter. I look in the direction of the child and I see a huge smile erupt across their face. "I'm sorry mama". Every second is ticking by. I fight with every child "Please put your clothes on - you are going to be late!!!" I fix all the girl's hair and we race for my 15 passenger van. (not my idea of a dream car but it works). I load up everyone and get half way to school when I hear "Mama where is my shoes?" Just then I realize no one has shoes! Ahhhhhh!. I turn around and race through the house and bundle six sets of shoes spilling out of my hands. One by one they finally end up in the van. I hear from the back of the van "Mom Scarlett is out of her seat!" Yep - she is out and unbuckling everyone she can as fast as she can. By this time I am yelling "The police are going to pull me over and give me a ticket does anyone care?" Once again smiles and laughing travel through the van. I pull into the pre-school parking lot and try to herd my kids into the class room. One bolts right, the other left and I run for which ever one is closer. Finally I get my little darlings in school and head back to my adorable 15 passenger van. Uhhh!!. I am going to be late for my aerobics class. Flying down the road-  cursing at every red light I finally make it to the gym. I put on a smiling  face and do my best to have lots of energy. After class I race home to make my chemistry class. Wow! I feel dizzy! It could be because I have had 3 cups of coffee and nothing else!  Shaking, I grab a protein bar and walk into my class room. For one full hour I sit and sit quietly.  People ask me how I do it.  "You go to school and have 6 kids?!" " I do it just for the hour of sitting and feeling calm and happy! " I tell them.  I head home with a nice hour rest in me. I walk through the door and here it goes again. "Mama he hit me!!" and "I hate you!" is very popular these days. I am trying to fix dinner with two  kids on my leg and water boiling over and the phone rings. Is bed time close? Oh, how will I make it another three hours?! Finally we all sit down for dinner and I hear "Mama can I have milk? I don't like this, I want more fruit!" Mike says "Honey,  can you get me a glass" I watch my healthy dinner make its way from hands to mouth and then all over the floor. I end up eating standing up taking a bite here or there. The kids finish and a few run to the play room. I look around at the mess and uneaten food. I'm on my hands and knees cleaning the floor when a cry kids runs my way with a bite mark on their  cheek. "Mama put them in time out!!" someone yells. I wish I could put my self in time out for a few days. I leave my mess and make my way to the play room. "Mama has a great idea lets all go out side and play." I say. They all jump up and down yelling yay yay!! For about ten minutes there is no fighting I sit on a bench enjoying my family and trying to forget about the mess upstairs. Weston looks over and says "DADDY!!" All the kids run to help dad fix his truck. Each one climbs in the front cab and starts rummaging for gum and what ever else they can find.  Standing with the door open smiling and admiring how cute they all are. Just then Cami pulls the gear shift and the truck starts down the hill. I try to jump in the truck and put the brake on. Mike stands in front of the truck trying to stop in from rolling. Just as I jump in the front seat to put the break on I hear Mike yelling to get the truck off my foot. Panicking I try to start the car and it will not start. Then  I realize the car is in drive and I pull the gear shift back to park and start the car. It is in drive and I pull the gear shift to park start the car then pull it in reverse nearly slamming into the garage. Mike limps around for awhile. When I was done shaking I said to Cami "You almost really hurt us all." she looked down with her lip quivering and said "Sorry mama"  I thought it would be a great time to clean everyone up and get them ready for bed. I marched everyone up to the bathroom for a bath. 5 babies all in a tub you can bet there is going to be puddles of water. I chased each naked body around putting diapers, lotion, and pjs on. Lilli (my oldest) is screaming at me to help her with a web kinz game. And next out of Lilli's mouth is "You like the babies better then me" and she storms of to her room slamming the door. Mike and I hold each kid to the floor and try to brush teeth. Again I hear "I HATE YOU MAMA!!!" after 5 glasses of water for each child they finally lay in bed scream bloody murder until they fall asleep. The next few hours I study and take a few Tylenol pm to sleep. I love my life and I am thankful for my kids and anti depressants.

  • Toddler |Identity Theft/or Borrow

Frequently the quints and even Lilli say |"Don't call me Weston or Annie or Cami - call me Sammy or Hannah or Jessica"  This morning while I was getting Weston's socks on he said "Don't call me Weston call me Elmo!"  I went back in time to when my son Colby used to have us call him Luke Skywalker or Obie Wan Kanobie all day.  |My brother-in-law who shall forever remain the baby of the family because he was born when my husband was 16 once went on a |"Call me Ponzie" faze.  The family refused until one night his dad put him to bed and said "Goodnight Ponzie!|"  Mark said he layed in bed with a sudden feeling of dread.  He said he felt as if his identity had been stolen.  He got out of bed in the dark and yelled down the hall "|I|'M| |MARK!!!||" He said he never wanted to be called Ponzie again.

Please just for today - don't call me Gramma Cheri.  Call me Angelina Jolie!

  • Crazy but sweet!

I'm spending three weeks helping my daughters with their wee ones!  It is a labor I love but I'm sometimes exhausted and overwhelmed! My daughter Courtnee is working towards a nursing degree - this in spite of having a family of six children!  A family that size is a challange in itself but - hold on to everything you love - her brood includes five kids (quintuplets) who recently turned 3.  Her oldest daughter is 6.  Here is a snapshot of yesterday:

Wake up when I hear the patter and voices of Courtnee and the kids and stagger upstairs to help.  I'm a coffee addict and I am unable to function until I at least take a few quick slurps.  Many, many requests build to a fevered pitch.  "I want Kix....I want Cherrios....I want a muffin....I want the princess cup...I have to go potty....Scarlett is hitting me....Hold me Grandma....No me!!"  To my never ending awe Courtnee is patiently going from one task to another and manages to make pig tails out of four little tangled heads, find a satisfactory outfit to please a kindergarden fashinista and have them loaded in her 14 passanger van  buckled in and singing the Wheels on the Bus before I can manage to buckle my own seatbelt. We drop Lilli, the 6 year old at her Montessori school then drop the quints at their Montessori school 5 miles in another direction.  Then thank God - Starbucks drive thru!

Courtnee runs through the schedule for me...I cringe when I realize she has me picking up Lilli and her buddy at school and then meeting her at the doctor's office to finish the quints well checkup and then gulp -driving that scary monster van while she takes off for her school!  Eeeee!!  Somehow I do it.  That turns out to be not at all the scariest part of the day.  Thankfully, Courtnee is blessed with some helper/friends who come weekly to help with the pack.  Greta is chasing Scarlett in the playroom/attic and hits her head on the ceiling so hard that it knocks her out! She is unable to get up and I make the decision to call 911.  The quints become silent for the first time since they were birthed as two screaming aid cars arrive and half carry Greta from the attic to the aid car.  Poor Courtnee arrives to see aid cars all over her driveway.  I gather up Greta's things including a pair of shoes that assume belong to her.  Comic relief after we find out Greta is ok....I gave away someone elses shoes...A lovely woman by the name of Mardel who I found out had to drive home with bare feet.

What can top that day?  I'm afraid to find
